Leïla, a cabinetmaker, and Damien, a painter, live happily in their beautiful house on the shores of the Mediterranean. Between boat trips with their son, pool sessions and moped rides, the summer passes peacefully. But Damien’s puzzling behavior hides a deeper problem. Bipolar, he has to take lithium daily. However, since he made a commitment to produce 40 paintings in 40 days, he categorically refuses to take his medication. As the days go by, the situation gets worse, to the point of endangering the couple’s life together. Leïla has only one solution left: to have her husband hospitalized.
