Rose (Laura Vandervoort) is a beautiful but demure woman who dreams of being a fashion designer. While out running errands on her scooter, a dog lunges at her and she veers away, but is hit by a car. She’s rushed to the hospital, but her face is badly scarred beyond recognition. She goes to the Burroughs Clinic, where she has the chance to undergo a radical but untested stem cell treatment to restore her looks. The treatment is miraculous and Rose, who’s now even prettier than she was before, comes out of her shell. However, she soon discovers that the treatment comes with horrific side effects that include severe abdominal pain and a thirst for blood.
