“Not Cancelled” is a COVID musical, but it focuses more on the positives of the pandemic, with the themes being centred more toward the community-building, the acts of kindness, and the compassionate movements that have come out of the last year. It’s based on a book that was written and published during the first few months of COVID called “Not Cancelled, Canadian Kindness in the face of COVID-19” that documents the pandemic-time true stories of various individuals across Canada. We’ve all experienced disappointing cancellations over the pandemic, but throughout this video series, numbers outline messages of hope of things that can’t be cancelled, such as ‘Dance isn’t cancelled’, ‘Birthday’s aren’t Cancelled’, and ‘Kindness isn’t Cancelled."
