Expecting their first child, Mexican-American couple Anita (Elpidia Carrillo) and Beto (Tenoch Huerta) leave their home in Los Angeles to live in a small community in the countryside. During the night of their arrival, the two of them begin to experience paranormal activity, with Anita experiencing the worst of it. After receiving a gift “for protection” from one of the locals, Anita begins to have hallucinations, dizziness, and rashes, prompting the locals to suspect that what is happening is a curse. Anita must now protect herself and her family from a sinister force that threatens their lives.
