Con artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins) have trained their daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to become one of them. From evading cameras, stealing mail to even getting free food off an airplane. They don’t care to be kajillionaires, but they still want to thrive. When the family meets a stranger, Melanie (Gina Rodriguez), during a heist and they convince her to join their next scheme, things get turned around. Melanie sees how unhealthy the family’s relationship is and helps Old Dolio understand what freedom and family really means. With Old Dolio questioning her future, her parents are upset that their only daughter may be turning on them.
