Argentina, 2001. A socialist at heart, Fermin Perlassi wants to open a small agricultural cooperative with his wife Lidia, which would give work to several dozen employees. Together with his friend Antonio, he succeeds in convincing other people to invest their meager savings, in whole or in part, in the project. Fermin deposits the sum collected in his banker’s personal account, the best way — according to the latter — to obtain the requested loan. But in the wake of the currency crash, the banker and a crooked lawyer steal the funds and disappear. A year later, the lawyer returns to the region, where he has an underground bunker in a forest. In memory of Lidia, who in the meantime passed away, Fermin sets up a clever scheme to recover his money and that of all the cheated investors.
