In the Cotswold village of Kembleford in England, Father Brown (Mark Williams) is the priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A surprisingly large amount of murders occur in and around the village, and Father Brown is often on the scene. Along with his friends, including St. Mary’s Irish parish secretary Mrs. McCarthy (Sorcha Cusack), Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll) and Lady Felicia’s chauffeur Sid Carter (Alex Price), Father Brown undertakes investigations into these murders, which sometimes put him in grave danger. In later seasons, Lady Felicia’s wayward niece, Bunty Windermere (Emer Kenny), moves into the village and also helps with investigations. Based on the Father Brown short stories by G.K. Chesterton.
