Every year a grieving mother celebrates the birth of her daughter, who was abducted at birth. When her younger daughter, Puleng Khumalo (Ama Qamata), crosses paths at a party with a girl who may be her long-lost sister, the teenager takes action. The other girl’s name is Fikile Bhele (Khosi Ngema), a star swimmer at an elite private school in Cape Town. Puleng transfers schools in order to solve the 17-year-old mystery and get closer to the truth.
