After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) is left aimless, purposeless and looking for a fresh start. When evil crime lord Roman Sionis, better known as Black Mask (Ewan McGregor), places a hit on a young girl named Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco), Harley Quinn ends up being her unlikely protector. In need of help, Harley Quinn ends up forming an unlikely partnership with meta human lounge singer Dinah Lance (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), mob boss daughter-turned vigilante Helena Bertinelli (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Gotham City Police Department detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to fend off the crime lord and protect the young girl.
